Anyone with concerns is invited to voice them at a pedestrian safety meeting at St Bartholomew’s School, in Derby Road, Haslemere (6.45pm for 7pm), today (May 10).
There are limits to how much Surrey County Council can invest in traffic calming. The purpose of the meeting is to understand people’s concerns, to discuss the options and hopefully to agree some next steps.
The meeting is held to coincide with The United Nations’ Fourth Global Road Safety Week, which runs from May 8-12, and seeks to increase understanding of the dangers of speed and take measures to save lives on the roads.
To register, email dontbeatoad@gmail. com – or turn up on the night.
