PLANS are in motion to improve Alton railway station forecourt, and now residents are being called on to give their view on the proposals.
East Hampshire District Council, working with South West Trains, Hampshire County Council and Alton Town Council, are proposing a number of measures for the forecourt area.
The aim is to help to make it a “more attractive entry point into the town”, improve pedestrian and cycle access, ensure bus services are clearly signed and review the current parking arrangements.
Key stakeholders and the public are invited to view the plans at Alton Assembly Rooms on September 28, from 3.30pm-8.30pm.
Staff will be available to talk through the proposals and take comments from the public.
