A BRAVE six-year-old boy hopes to take part in a two-mile sponsored walk in a fortnight's time, to help others who, like himself, are suffering from leukaemia.

Haydan French may not be feeling up to the challenge on the day, because of the gruelling treatment he is undergoing.

In that case, his three-year-old sister Yasmin will take over his sponsorship pledges and do the walk, so that as much money as possible goes to the Anthony Nolan charity.

Around 200 people, including many of Haydan's classmates at St Peter's School, Wrecclesham, will be taking part in the walk, followed by a fundraising event at The Fox in Lower Bourne to which all are invited.

The target is to raise £3,000 in recognition of the courage of Haydan.
