DISTRICT councillor Ian Dowdle, the man who has been Bordon's main spokesman on the future development of the town, has resigned as chairman of the Whitehill Bordon Opp-ortunity Executive Gro-up.

He has resigned because East Hampshire District Council has appointed an Alton councillor to represent Bordon in the council's cabinet.
