Green-fingered Headley villagers will open up their garden gates to the public this weekend.

The Headley Open Gardens event has taken place annually for the past 14 years, and this year sees ten gardens open to visitors.

There will be a range of gardens open on both Saturday and Sunday, all of varying size and layout from the cottage garden to the larger garden.

There will also be a themed children's competition in all the gardens and a treasure hunt at Little Benifold.

Teas will be provided at two of the gardens and lunches will be served at The Church Centre (opposite All Saints Church).

Tickets are £10 per adult (children aged 16 and under are free) and will be available at the Church Centre in the High Street on each day.

Pam Williams said: "Headley Open Gardens was founded by Christine Leonard and Phyllida Smeeton and this year for the first time we are opening under the umbrella of the National Garden Scheme and proceeds from the sale of tickets will go their designated charities.

"There will be a grand raffle draw with some great prizes and proceeds from this will go to the Rosemary Foundation."
