A WOMAN from Headley was killed and a man and young girl injured when their BMW crashed into several trees on Sunday at 7pm. They were travelling on the B3002 from Grayshott to Headley when their BMW 323 left the road and collided with trees and fencing. The 41-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the 10-year-old girl was airlifted to hospital and the man taken by ambulance to the Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford. The girl suffered a broken left arm and leg, and has since been moved to a general ward of the hospital. A police spokesman said she was progressing well. The man involved was seriously injured in the incident. A police spokesman said: "The man has undergone surgery and is still in intensive care after sustaining a horrendous injury to his arm." Several fire crews attended the accident, with two appliances from Surrey also on the scene. A post-mortem was due to take place as The Herald went to press on Wednesday.
