THREE headteachers have joined forces to oppose Surrey's on-street parking proposals.

Jilly Storey from Shottermill Infant School, Linda O'Boyle from Shottermill Junior School and Charles Beckerson from St Bartholomew's Primary School said they were extremely concerned about the adverse impact charging would have on parents, visitors and staff members.

They objected the county council had had some consultation with residents' associations prior to plans being proposed, but it had not cosidered the damaging knock-on effect on local schools.
