RENEWED calls for road safety improvements have been made by Rodborough Technology College, Milford, following a series of accidents involving pupils.
Rodborough headteacher Andrew Smith called a road safety meeting with Surrey County Council representatives last February, to press for traffic-calming measures after seven accidents – three involving pupils – occurred within a year on a stretch of the A283 Petworth Road.
Concerned that no improvements have yet materialised despite assurances given at the meeting, Mr Smith spoke out again this week, following another accident at the end of last term.
