A POTENTIALLY lethal product promoted at a secret seminar which took place in Farnham earlier this year is still on sale and is currently being used on autistic children.

The seminar was hosted by then Farnham resident Amanda Mary, a member of Genesis II Church, a non-religious church of health and healing – the brains behind the so-called Miracle Mineral Solution (MMS).

Advocates claim MMS can cure illnesses such as ebola and cancer but in reality it is a form of industrial bleach which is commonly sold as an oral supplement but there are also reports that is is being sold as an enema.

It is 28 per cent sodium chlorite solution, which makes it equivalent to industrial-strength bleach. Vulnerable people are still using the ‘miracle cure’ even though there is no evidence to back the claim that the product is actually effective.

Autism activist Emma Dalmayne made a complaint to Thames Valley Police after she believed a mother was using the lethal solution to cure her young autistic son. A fellow autism advocate based in Ireland, Fiona O’Leary, has been campaigning alongside Emma to end the use of all dangerous and unregulated products being offered and administered to autistic children and adults, through her worldwide campaign - http://autisticrightstogether.ie.

Fiona noted that the HPRA (Health Products Regulatory Authority) in Ireland – their version of the UK’s MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) - is taking full control of the matter and because of their swift actions criminal investigations are open and people promoting, using and selling MMS are being investigated and prosecuted.

She said: “The MHRA say they are working alongside the FSA (Food Standards Agency) who are supposedly taking the lead on this serious matter but in reality the FSA are not addressing this issue. A warning about MMS is not enough, this is child abuse and criminal behaviour. It should not be left up to myself and my colleague to address this matter, we are mothers to autistic children trying to protect the vulnerable in our society.

“We are working voluntary day in and day out trying to end this awful abuse and we feel very let down by the MHRA, FSA and Trading Standards. The authorities inaction regarding this issue is unforgivable and simply disgusting.

“They have known about MMS since 2010 when the FSA issued a warning on their website. This warning has done nothing. Those promoting, selling and using these products should be investigated and prosecuted. Last month in Washington Daniel Smith, a pedlar of MMS, was sentenced to over four years in jail.”

A spokesperson for the MHRA previously stated that MMS can cause serious damage to health and in some cases even death: “Anyone who has bought these products is advised to throw them away. If they have been taken and the person feels unwell, they should consult their doctor.”
