WOMEN in the South East are more likely to stick to and achieve a New Year’s Resolution than men, according to a poll by the Stroke Association.
The charity’s latest survey revealed 20 per cent of women saw through their 2017 resolutions, while just 16 per cent of men stuck to their goals.
By contrast, the poll found more than a quarter of men who made resolution to start running (26 per cent) saw through this resolution, compared to just over a tenth of women (14 per cent).
Half of the men quizzed who made a resolution to improve their diet and eat healthier are still on track in comparison to just over a third of women (38 per cent) a year later.
The association wants people to sign up to a 5k, 10k or 15k Resolution Run in the spring of 2018.
