A 1940s-inspired afternoon tea to help raise money for Dementia UK was held at Ashton Manor Nursing Home, Farnham, as part of its Time for a Cuppa event.
Residents enjoyed an afternoon filled with music and games on March 8, while staff dressed up for the occasion.
Ladies were pampered, having their hair and nails done and the gents donned bow ties and a sweep of Brylcreem.
Musician Kevin entertained guests by singing songs from the period and playing his piano and violin, to which everyone had a good singalong. Mayor of Farnham David Attfield then cut the cake and everyone tucked into afternoon tea.
By holding the event, Ashton Manor hopes to raise awareness of dementia admiral nurses and how they can help families who have a loved one with dementia.
While at the event, the mayor took time to meet residents and talk to their families.
He said: “It was lovely to be here and spend time with the residents and meet everyone. It’s a lovely home and I enjoyed having cakes with the residents.”
