FARNHAM’S two Rotary clubs, working with the Stroke Association, have held another successful Know Your Blood Pressure Day.
Dozens of people in and around Farnham took the opportunity to check their blood pressure at the Farnham Maltings on October 6 - and for most it proved reassuring.
In all, 59 people came for the assessment, most of whom were aged between 45 and 85. Of these, 11 were advised to see their doctor within the next month, so for them the visit was helpful.
For most people, however, their blood pressure was normal and they were taking good care of their health.
Also present on the day were a group from Farnham Lions who demonstrated the use of CPR and a defibrillator. They also signed people up for their free lifesaving Heartstart courses. To sign up, visit heartstartfarnhamlions.co.uk.
