AN Alton grandmother with a rapidly growing brain tumour, which could leave her blind or even dead, has twice had her hospital operation cancelled.
Shirley Cunningham's plight serves to highlight the current crisis in an NHS forced to close its wards because of a chronic shortage of trained nurses.
