the daughter of Frensham crash victim Anne ’Lindy’ Parsons has paid tribute to her "darling mum" as Surrey Police renewed an appeal for witnesses following the fatal collision in March.

The 79 year old grandmother was driving her Mazda on the A287 Frensham Road when she was involved in a collision with a Land Rover shortly before 6pm on Sunday, March 25. She was declared dead at the scene.

Sergeant Jamie Dann who is investigating the crash said: "We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the immediate area between 5.45pm and 6pm, and may have seen or heard the collision, or the vehicles in the moments before the collision. We are also appealing for anyone who may have dashcam footage from the incident to come forward.

"Mrs Parsons’ family have been left devastated by her loss, and we would like to find out the circumstances around what happened to her, so that her family can receive some kind of closure at this difficult time."

Anne was born in Kenya, where her daughter Jackie was also born, but had lived in Hindhead for 31 years.

Paying tribute to her mum, Jackie said: "It was the Sunday before Easter and a lovely spring afternoon. My darling mum had been staying with us for a fun family weekend and was simply heading home in her little silver Mazda.

"She would have driven through Farnham at about 5.45pm on that Sunday, headed south through Lower Bourne and past Edgeborough school on the A287.

"About 10 minutes later near the Helen Arkell Dyslexia Centre, mum was killed in a collision with a dark blue Land Rover, and we have been left absolutely devastated.

"We cannot believe that someone who was so fit, healthy and active one minute can now be dead. We miss her so very much and really want to understand what happened."
