DISRUPTION from the snow has hit thousands of people in East Hampshire in the past week.

All schools in the Whitehill and Bordon area were closed last Friday as a result of heavy snow during the day.

Most were open as normal on Monday, after the weekend, with Mill Chase Community Technology College and Weyford infant and junior schools starting late on Monday morning to allow staff and students extra time.

The weather also heavily affected some of East Hampshire District Cou-ncil's services.
