THE Hedgehogs held its 12th annual charity golf day in the familiar surroundings of the prestigious Army Golf Club in Aldershot.
More than 13 fourball teams took part in a Stableford competition with 12 additional guests joining the golfers for an evening dinner and prizes presentation.
The main recipient of this year’s fundraising event was The Source, a local charity based in Aldershot that works with young people to help them become empowered and resilient and direct their future and fulfil their potential.
More than £3,000 was raised and Sue Colleen of The Source team said: “We are extremely grateful to The Hedgehogs for their most generous support and while I am not a golfer it was obvious from the evening dinner and prize giving that all those involved in the day had a great time.”
The major winners were the fourball team of Chris Burd, George Short, Jonathan Corner, James Chalk with a combined team score of 115 and the individual winner Dave Peters with 40 points.
Mike Dunkley of the Hedgehogs and main organiser of the golf day said: “Without the support of our golfers who support our annual event, the Hedgehogs’ organising team and The Army Club, Aldershot, we would not be able to put on such a successful annual event – a big thank you to all who took part.”
