AN award-winning care assistant is putting his best foot forward in aid of charity.

Tim Emburey, who works at Chestnut View, in Haslemere, is walking 29 miles from London to Guildford in support of Myeloma UK and The Alzheimer’s Society, which is leading the fight against dementia in the UK.

“I am extremely passionate about supporting both charities and it would be fantastic to be able to raise as much money as possible to help people with these life-limiting conditions,” he said.

“Here’s hoping the weather is on my side and I don’t get too many blisters on my plates of meat.”
