DISTINGUISHED guests including the Mayors of Farnham and Waverley, Mike Hodge and Simon Inchbald, gathered at the Museum of Farnham’s Garden Gallery on Tuesday to launch this year’s Heritage Open Days in Farnham.

Taking place from September 7 to 10, the 2017 Heritage Open Days (HODs) celebrations, presented by The Farnham Society, promise an inviting mix of visits to interesting buildings, walks, talks and performances, showcasing all that historic Farnham craft town has to offer.

This year’s launch took place on a lovely warm evening in the historic garden of Grade I-listed Georgian town house Willmer House, home to the town museum and one of many historic buildings set to open its doors for HODs 2017.

For full details of all events and building openings, look for the Heritage Open Days brochure in public buildings around town, including the Herald offices in West Street, and also online at www.farnham.gov.uk.
