EXCITEMENT is mounting as the town of Alton prepares to turn back the clock to celebrate 1,000 years of history.
Scheduled for April 29/30 and May 1, Alton's Millennium Heritage Festival promises three days of entertainment to include historic markets, a fair, Victorian street entertainment and a re-enactment of the Battle of Alton by the English Civil War Society. All welcome.
