BELLS Piece Leonard Cheshire Disability service welcomed a group of volunteers from Surrey County Council earlier this month.
A group of six council workers spent the day repairing Bells Piece’s fruit cage which was badly damaged over the winter months and preparing an area for a new pizza oven.
Jenny Daniels, the centre’s volunteer co-ordinator, said: “A huge thank you must go to everyone from Surrey County Council for all their hard work and making the day such a resounding success.
“Volunteering is a key way for businesses to make a real and visible difference to the communities in which we operate.”
