A TIRELESS fundraiser from Steep wants people to serve up a Dog's Dinner to help a canine charity from Stroud.

The Dog's Dinner is a national event which has been masterminded by Robin Hollington to raise vital funds for Hounds for Heroes.

Mr Hollington wants people to hold a fundraising dinner party, in whatever form, during the third weekend of September. Guests will then be encouraged to make a donation to the charity, which trains assistance dogs for wounded service personnel.

The Dog's Dinner is the latest in a series of events that Robin and his wife, Jenny, have held to raise funds for charity in their son's memory.

Royal Marine Richard Hollington died in June 2010 and was the 300th British fatality of the Afghan conflict.
