THERE are still major defects to be repaired at The Herons leisure centre in Haslemere nearly a year after Waverley borough councillors were told they were to be fixed.

At a meeting of the council's policy and resources committee, councillors were told that that many of these defects would now be repaired by Waverley and most of the costs were likely to be deducted from part of the bill which was currently held by the councillors.
