EAST Hampshire MP Damian Hinds supported the work being done to combat harassment and abuse in Westminster.
Mr Hinds’ comments followed claims accusing MPs, Westminster staff and party members of inappropriate conduct.
Prime Minister Theresa May said she wanted a cross-party approach to reforming the complaints’ procedures, after a number of allegations emerged about senior politicians.
One of the scandal’s most prominent resignations came from the Secretary of State for Defence Michael Fallon.
Mrs May now wants to look into “the use and abuse of power” in Government.
Regulating procedures in Westminster is difficult as members of Parliament have their own dedicated staff.
“Those working for members of Parliament should not have to navigate different party systems depending on their employer’s political affiliation,” she said.
