CONCERNS are mounting after the sudden announcement that Petersfield police station is to close and the police redeployed to another location in the town.

Confirmation of the closure of the 19th century distinctive historic flint-faced building in St Peter's Road, along with plans to axe 18 other police stations across the county, will take place next Thursday, June, 23, during a meeting of Hampshire Police Authority.
