AN Alton woman has permission to fell a 200-year-old Cedar of Lebanon after a government inspector concluded it was "the wrong tree in the wrong place".
While those opposed to the felling argued that the tree had been there long before the houses and that it was a valued part of the townscape, the owner fears it could fall on the homes or cause injury.
