BORDON Army cadets had a special addition to their annual camp this year, as the Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire, paid a visit to the company last Wednesday. During her visit to the camp on Salisbury Plain, Mary Fagan saw cadets learning field craft and signalling skills, together with adventurous training and problem solving command tasks. All of the youngsters had the opportunity to take part in events such as mountain biking, go karting, climbing, archery, clay pigeon shooting and living in the field under improvised shelters. This year the camp became truly international when Hampshire youngsters were joined by 25 army cadets from Lithuania and another 25 from Canada.
