A MOTORIST had to be cut from their car and taken to hospital after a crash on the A31 Farnham bypass on Easter Monday.

Emergency services were called to the three-car shunt at around 4.15pm on the eastbound carriageway between Hickleys Corner and the Shepherd and Flock roundabout.

One person was trapped and had to be extracted by firefighters before being treated for minor injuries and later taken to Frimley Park Hospital by ambulance.

Surrey Police confirmed the cars, including a blue Rover 75 and a grey Vauxhall Vectra, were recovered and the A31 cleared by 5.50pm.
