A £1.7 million Hoseasons holiday village in Tilford is expected to open in seven or eight weeks.
Construction work on 31 holiday chalets at the former Tilford Caravan Park in Tilford Road started last October.
But Graham Aslet, a spokesman for agents GJ Associates, who helped shape plans for the holiday village, told The Herald this week that work is still incomplete.
"The chalets have all got roofs on them, it's just landscaping that needs to be done. We haven't got a completion date yet, but I think they're looking at seven or eight weeks."
With work nearing completion, Tilford father-and-son business partners John and Andrew Donnachie of Antshire Ltd, who will run the site, have just applied for planning permission for an extra two chalets - bringing the total to 33 - and an extra building for a reception.
The pair was given consent for 34 mobile homes in December 1999.
They returned with a scaled down application for 31 chalets that was approved last summer.
