A FEMALE runner beat all comers in the Farnham Pilgrim Marathon on Sunday, romping home five minutes ahead of the next runner and smashing the women's course record.
Holly Rush, a GB international from Team Bath AC and a former winner of the Edinburgh Marathon, completed the hilly, rugged run in three hours seven minutes and three seconds.
David Ross, who was third last year, was the first man home, taking second place overall in 3.12.31.
More than 750 runners took part in the third running of the marathon and half-marathon, organised by Farnham Weyside Rotary Club and starting and finishing at Sands Recreation Ground.
