PEOPLE seeking to earn extra cash at Christmas are urged to beware of bogus home-working schemes.

West Sussex County Council Trading Standards Service has issued the warning after the con was discovered during an undercover operation.

Officers who posed as potential customers found that 10 per cent of the schemes they investigated were fraudulent.
