The result of Waverley's council housing stock transfer ballot, due to be released this week, has been postponed until Monday, at the earliest, because of a postal strike in North London.
Both the count and the announcement were due to take place on Tuesday, but because voting papers were held up by the strike, the decision was taken to delay the count being undertaken by the Electoral Reform Ballot Services (ERBS) whose offices are in North London.
