THE cost to Waverley ratepayers of the council spending 10 years unsuccessfully trying to get its Core Strategy Local Plan adopted is £288,000 and rising.
The borough council came under fire almost immediately as it published a breakdown online of the costs incurred in its failed attempt to get a Local Plan blueprint to guide future development officially adopted, since 2003.
