PLANS to build 700 homes in Petersfield along with additional housing in areas outside the town were expected to clear the final hurdle this week before proposals are put out for public consultation in the autumn.

National park authority planners were set to discuss the preferred option of the local plan and its draft housing policy at a meeting in Midhurst yesterday.
