RESIDENTS of Alton and nearby villages turned out in numbers to express their views on the second draft of the district local plan - the blueprint for development in East Hampshire until the year 2011.
The burning issue was the number of new homes proposed and whether the area had the infrastructure to support the corresponding increase in people and traffic around the sites earmarked in the plan.
