ON the day two water companies in the South announced that restrictions are to be lifted, South East Water said it would keep its hosepipe bans in place while it monitors water levels.

While Southern Water and Thames Water decided, on Wednesday, to lift their bans, customers of South East Water, including those in Whitehill and Bordon, remain subject to restricted use.
