THE League of Friends of Haslemere Hospital has welcomed news that a planning application, submitted by Surrey NHS Primary Care Trust for a new car park for 34 extra spaces at Haslemere Hospital, has been approved by Waverley Borough Council.

The application followed preliminary work, part funded by the League of Friends, and once completed will provide new parking spaces for hospital staff.
