Hospital departments may still be closed

"THERE is no question of us closing any of our main hospitals; each will continue to play a vital role in the local NHS," the North and Mid Hampshire Health Authority stated late last week.

However, departments of hospitals may be closed, giving some patients further to travel, as NHHA and the West Surrey Health Authority engage in discussions about pooling their resources.
