THE Royal Surrey County Hospital's application for NHS Foundation Trust status has been delayed until the end of the year.

Monitor, the independent regulator overlooking the hospital's transition to Foundation Trust (FT) status, requires the Royal Surrey to fill two vacancies on its board of directors before approving the change.
