A DIRECTOR of the chain that runs the Farnham House Hotel has warned that the business will seek compensation, if Surrey County Council closes the gap in the central reservation of the A31 Alton Road by the hotel.

David Knight, speaking for Hollybourne Hotels, told the council's Waverley Local Committee that such a move would hit business at the hotel very badly and was opposed by all the businesses using the hotel access road.
