A DISGRUNTLED woman from Sheet has slammed a pair of authorities after contaminated floodwater cost her the sale of her home.

Pamela Parry-Jones and other residents of Mill Lane have called for urgent improvements to the drainage system around the village.

And the former has every right to cause a stink after being forced to evacuate her home during the early hours of Christmas Eve.

Her garden was one of several along the lane that was submerged under a soup of floodwater and raw sewage during the overnight storm.

But it proved even more costly for Pamela as it forced a prospective buyer to withdraw their bid for the property just a few hours later.
