STAKEHOLDERS got the opportunity to quiz Defence Infrastructure Organisation planners last week on the "largest outline housing application" East Hampshire has ever seen. The consultation forum, held on Tuesday at Bordon Junior School, looked at the hybrid planning application to redevelop the Bordon Garrison, providing 2,400 new homes and a new town centre. The proposal seeks outline planning permission for homes and a new town town centre, secondary school and primary school, and full detailed planning permission for the southern section of the new relief road and areas of Suitable Alternative Natural Green Space. Jon Kirby, from commercial property adviser GVA, was on the panel and said the plan had been drawn up with the "needs of the town as a whole" in mind. For full story, see this week's Bordon Herald.
