WORK is well under way on eight new homes in Mornington Road, which are being built under a partnering scheme between Petersfield-based Drum Housing Group and Rokbuild of Eastleigh.

Built using traditional materials, the three-bedroom houses with front and back gardens and rural views will be ready in time for Christmas.
Present on site for the concrete pour were Iain Thayne, area director of Rokbuild which is part of the property solutions group Rok, and Ian Worley of Drum who said: ÒThis project offers an exciting opportunity to work in partnership with Rokbuild. We look forward to developing our relationship, which has so far been extremely positive.Ó
Mr Thayne said his company was delighted to be working with Drum and that the keys to any partnering project were understanding each otherÕs needs, working as a team and making the construction process a pleasurable experience.
Drum, a registered social landlord, is responsible for more than 4,000 properties in East Hampshire and is expanding into the Portsmouth and Chichester areas.
