A MASSIVE £8 million is to be invested into improvements to homes in Petersfield over the next three years.

Drum Housing Group announced the plans this week, following the completion of a £17 million improvements and reinvestment programme which has taken place since Drum took ownership of homes from East Hampshire District Council in 1996.

ÒThe new improvements programme takes account of what our customers have told us at a Best Value conference we held in October and through our regular customer satisfaction surveys,Ó said DrumÕs director of operations Bjorn Howard.

ÒAs a result the priorities during the next three years will be the replacement of kitchens, bathrooms and doors, electrical upgrading, roofing and structural repairs.Ó

Over the last three years 2,100 doors, 450 kitchens, 300 bathrooms, 700 electrical systems and 250 heating systems have all been replaced.

ÒWe are committed to ensuring we provide quality homes where people want to live,Ó said Mr Howard.

ÒThis investment will ensure that we continue to do this.Ó
