FARNHAM’S property market “remains active” despite initial fears over the impact of Brexit, according to Andrew Lodge estate agents in Farnham.
The independent firm says it has continued to take on new instructions following Britain’s vote to leave the European Union and is growing its portfolio of property for sale in Farnham and beyond.
Director Stephen Jenkins told The Herald: “We are reassuring clients that now is a good time to market property, despite the uncertainty that has resulted from Brexit.
“It is true that some people are being more cautious when it comes to planning a move but there is no shortage of prospective buyers and sales figures have remained positive, with sensible pricing definitely the key.
“We actually haven’t experienced any sales falling through because of Brexit and we continue to provide a quality service that is good value, with our strong links to the London market being of particular importance.”
He continued: “Farnham and the surrounding villages are sought-after locations and we are still receiving regular enquiries from people who plan to relocate here or buy investment property, and we continue to deal with our core market of local people who are looking to up or downsize.
“Confidence in the local market remains strong and the reassuring comments from The Bank of England to, if necessary, take measures which will help underpin the economy and maintain lending was positive to hear.”
