Hampshire County Councillors have voted to give themselves a massive pay rise in an effort to attract younger members to the role.
Back bench councillors will receive a minimum allowance of £10,000 - a significant increase from their current average of £3,200, with leader Ken Thornber almost doubling his allowance to £22,360 a year.
