THE Deadwater Valley Trust’s annual Woodland Fair drew in hundreds of people on Saturday, September 15.

Countryside ranger Adam Taylor said the event, at the Bordon Inclosure near Quebec Park, proved once again to be a popular fixture on the trust’s calendar.

“The annual Deadwater Valley Trust Woodland Fair was a great success this year, with more than 400 people attending throughout the day,” he said. “A large variety of stalls and activities were on offer, with visitors getting the chance to come face to face with rare reptiles and amphibians, learn about their local wildlife, have a go at wood turning, take part in pond dipping and African-drumming sessions, enjoy lots of delicious food and meet some time travellers from the Stone Age. The beautiful weather made for a fantastic day, and we are extremely grateful to all the local groups and organisations who lent their support to our event to make it so special.”
