A FARNHAM sculptor has reprised her dramatic figure of Icarus created for the London 2012 Olympic Village, after being selected to show her work at this year’s International Sculpture Festival in Guernsey.

Nicola Godden, who lives in Dockenfield and went to Farnham Art College, was initially commissioned by The Sculpture Park in Churt to create the winged bronze for the 2012 Games.

It was sold after the Olympics - but Nicola has since re-cast the figure for the International Sculpture Festival from May 17 to the end of October, and is currently displaying the striking bronze in her mother’s garden, also in Dockenfield, prior to shipping it to the Channel Islands.
