Farnham gained sweet revenge for an early-season defeat when they decisively beat second-placed Hartley Wintney on Tuesday night.
It was Farnham's third successive league win and a second consecutive clean sheet for goalkeeper Chris Edmonds.
There were few clear-cut chances in the first half, with the teams locked in a midfield battle.
Wintney were unlucky not to take the lead on 17 minutes when a shot from Elms hit the outside of a post.
Instead, it was Farnham who took the lead eight minutes before half-time. Alan Morgan charged down a clearance and Danny Brown scored from six yards out.
Farnham, eager for action after having no league fixture on Saturday, competed for every ball in the second half and never allowed the home team any time or space on the ball.
Midfielder Mark Edwards was doing an excellent marking job on the dangerous Ian Dorkin, while the back four of Hatton, Decicco, Raby and Slessor formed a solid line in front of the confident Edmonds whose handling was impressive throughout.
When Glenn Barlow did get clean through for Wintney, Edmonds made a vital blocking save with his feet.
The important second goal came on 63 minutes when, from a Scott Hooper corner, Brown was left unmarked inside the six-yard box and headed his second goal.
Vince Decicco blocked a shot from Medford and Edmonds saved well from substitute Green before Farnham wrapped up the points with their third goal in the 88th minute.
Kevin Annetts and Hooper failed to make proper contact when substitute Dave Snowden put in a good cross, but Wintney failed to clear their lines and Edwards scored from close range to cap a fine personal display.
Farnham: Edmonds, Hatton (Snowden), Slessor, Raby, Decicco (Williams), Edwards, Brown (Middleton), Hooper, Cooper, Morgan, Annetts.
