ABBEYFIELD Wey Valley Society recently hosted a Japanese garden talk by Graham Bowyer in aid of Arthritis Research UK Farnham branch which is celebrating its 50- year anniversary.

Graham first went to Japan in 2002. He became fascinated with many aspects of Japanese culture, especially the gardens, and joined the Japanese Garden Society where he made friends with others who were similarly enthused.

Graham is now a trustee of the society and chairman of the South East region.

His fascinating and informative talk was followed by a scrumptious cream tea which guests enjoyed in the beautiful surroundings of Hatch Mill’s very own Japanese garden which Graham had helped to design and build three years ago.
