A FESTIVE time was had by all at Badshot Lea Infant School last week as the children performed their annual nativity play with an emphasis on song and dance.
The Snowman, a play which combined the traditional story of the nativity with the popular children's animated classic, involved youngsters singing the hit song Walking in the Air.
Staff at the school chose the play because they wanted to do something that didn't have too much speaking but which still got the traditional message across.
Kerry McMahon, reception teacher at Badshot Lea, said: "The children have all had a great time and they've all been watching The Snowman in class and listening to the CD.
"The story is adapted to fit the nativity in, so the boy and the snowman fly around and eventually end up in the stable with the baby Jesus. We decided to do something with mostly dancing and singing and the children love it."
